Markus Wikar

Markus Wikar is a Helsinki based architect who is interested in

exploring new opportunities in architectural expression utilizing

computational design and analysis methods.

He often finds himself working in a territory where architects,

engineers and manufacturers work as a team in trying to find

new ways of manufacturing and constructing projects of different

scales, ranging from furniture to ambitious large scale construction


Recently Wikar has been responsible for managing the free form

geometries in Lahdelma & Mahlamäki's museum project.

Wikar is often working in teams, most recently at the Department

of Civil and Structural Engineering at Aalto University, where he

has been involved in furthering the collaboration between architects and

engineers through design and research projects.
